What is a wrap?
A Wrap Account is an administrative service that combines or wraps, all of the client’s investment into a single manageable account. This means that your total Portfolio could be viewed at a glance. It is not a product in which to invest, but rather a service.
A Wrap is available on line and lets Financial Advisors manage all their clients’ assets in one place whether these are held directly or through a “Tax-Advantaged” wrapper such as stocks and shares, ISAs, PEPs, offshore bonds and pension investments.
The Nucleus Wrap will allow us to :
- Carry out on-line valuations and dealings on your investments
- View your Portfolio on line, this access permits more timely investment advice.
- Implement your investment decisions quickly
- Have access to a range of investment groups and over 1,600 funds from over 70 asset managers.
What is a Nucleus?
Membership of Nucleus is restricted to a number of quality IFAs (Independent Financial Advisors) and each member has subscribed for shares in the business. Budge and Company has joined the Wrap as we feel it provides tremendous value for our clients, not because it is a good investment opportunity for ourselves.
We believe that Nucleus represents the fresh start the industry has been waiting for and that the following key factors set them apart from other wrap providers.
- As an IFA-backed and designed business the result is a crucial first for the industry and one that we believe will become the centre for excellence in the delivery of financial advice in the UK.
- Nucleus work for advisors and their clients NOT large insurance or fund management groups.
- Nucleus charge a fair clear fee for the service they provide and don’t rely on commissions or other remuneration from third parties (as they feel these will ultimately influence platform or adviser behaviour).

As stated, the Nucleus Wrap gives us a wide choice of funds although it should be appreciated that the AMC may be higher than that charged by traditional companies. However we will be able to access what we believe will be better performing funds which will out-weigh the Additional Management Charge.
What products are available
The Nucleus Wrap is a Service and not a product. The service offers the following products, Direct Investments, ISA's, a Personal Pension, a Self Invested Personal Pension Plan, an Onshore Life Bond and an Offshore Life Bond.
